It looks like a micro-space, feels like a studio, operates like a startup, and it produces the next generation of change makers and powerful leaders.
¿But how did this studio format begin?
Since 2008, Jessica A. Artiles has been going to Mater Academy to speak voluntarily about attending MIT, inspiring high school students. Leading her to reconnect with their award winning CAP advisor, Silvina Macho, who has been in the business for 25 years. He needs were for students, "brain athletes", to be supposed and feel confident in their exam, inspiring the first pep rally
From there a cohort of BioHackers — students taking back their agency and their power in our education systems that need the most attention, was formed.
Here's to our future generations of change makers.
Our Mission
Making lasting change made by the people for the people, allowing leaders to leverage their insight and lived experience when co-creating a better future for themselves and their community while building the confidence and structured toolkit to see themselves as the change makers that they already are.
What if we could start the change now and not wait till later?
Over the period of a month-long hackathon, we teach our high school students Design Thinking, Entrepreneurship, and Transformational Leadership principles and put them through our signature i3 methodology
With student initiatives SIVS will become a 4.5 week accelerator for various projects where passionate high school students will receive high-caliber mentorship, guidance, and resources to develop the projects with the maximum impact possible.
