The Challenge
We set out to optimize the transformation of novice designers — helping them apply design thinking to prototype novel solutions in education, fast.
The Approach
We did the homework first, interviewing 14 experts in education about the true challenges, then distilled a 2-day workshop format around a handful of hard-won principles.
The method engages both brains — head and gut — so participants design from a fully informed center, with facilitators flexing between Instructor, Facilitator, Co-Designer, Quarterback, and Teammate.

The Outcome
The first DesignShop facilitated the creation of 25 novel prototyped solutions in the education space, with novel impact metrics to track each participant's transformation.
Its success turned DesignShop into a shippable methodology future cohorts — some traveling internationally — could benefit from.
